Makenna and I have been friends since before I can even remember. Our parents and their families grew up in the same little town in Indiana. I was born in Alabama while my dad was finishing his P.h.D. and when I was just under 2, my family moved back to that little town in Indiana. That's when my friendship with Makenna started.
We have so many memories together. Some of my favorites include laying under the chairs at church coloring and playing, countless sleepovers, painting her dads toenails while he slept, and two vacations to Florida. But no memories could be quite as good as the one's I make with her now when I go home to visit. Every single time we get together with our other best friend and the three of us reminisce on the old days and talk about the new lives we've each created with our husbands and children.
Makenna married her high school sweetheart, Jacob, in 2015 and they now have the three cutest redheaded children. You might think I'm biased, but you have to believe me when I say the Farrar family is the best. In true Warren County, Indiana fashion, Jacob has a mullet. Their 3 year old son, whom admires his dad so much and wants to be just like him, told his mom that he wanted on too, so his mullet is in the works. It's actually very cute because he is the spitting image of Jacob in both looks and personality. Their oldest child, and their only daughter, is the most helpful, intelligent little 4 year old. She was always meant to be a big sister and she loves her little brothers fiercely. Then there is the youngest. He just turned 2 and he is the biggest firecracker of them all. As a true youngest, he is the boss and he gives his parents a run for their money (in the very best way).
I truly love this family and I'm so grateful I had the chance to spend this time with them. Thank you Farrar Family for trusting me to capture your forever memories!
